Photos from the Shakespeare in Rome summer school in May 2014. The week included sessions at the British School in Rome, on women in the Roman plays (with lectures by Dr Natalie Roulon and Dr Ruth Lunney), and on women artists in the Renaissance and the Baroque (lecture by Dr Adelina Modesti). We also had a wonderful day at Roma Tre University exploring the Roman plays on screen (with an opening presentation by Prof. Maria Del Sapio Garbero, and papers by Prof. Mariangela Tempera, Dr Maddalena Pennacchia and Dr Victoria Bladen). The week included excursions to the Colosseum and Forum ruins, Galleria Borghese, Centrale Montemartini and Hadrian’s villa and Villa d’Este at Tivoli. Thanks to everyone for such a memorable week!
